Job Description

Large gaming client in Seattle, Washington is looking for a Systems Engineer. This is a contracting position lasting up to 6 months with the potential for extension.

Ideal candidate will have a wide range of IT knowledge and experience. In this role, you will support a game studio as part of the engineering team. Great opportunity to strengthen your capabilities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Please Note: This position requires the candidate to be in the PNW area, working remotely, by start date - may need to be onsite periodically.


• Design, implement, optimize, maintain, analyze performance, proactively troubleshoot, and continually improve a variety of Azure and on-prem infrastructure and services.

• Configure monitoring and alerting for Azure and on-prem infrastructure and services.

• Quickly troubleshoot and resolve critical issues for both Azure and on-prem infrastructure and services.

• Create clear and succinct technical documentation.

• Participate in and serve as escalation point in a 24/7 on call rotation at least one (1) week per month.

Qualifications and Skills

• Requires at least 3+ years of experience in a large enterprise multi PB environment.

• Experience with enterprise storage administration.

• Experience with OS performance tuning, troubleshooting, and analyzing log files within a windows based environment.

• Proficient with PowerShell scripting and automation.

• Understanding of Layer 2 / Layer 3 networking (Cisco preferred).

• Knowledge of common application protocols like DNS, LDAP, SNMP, DHCP, NTP.

• Proficient with modern Linux distributions.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Min 2 years Azure Active Directory and Active Directory Enterprise experience.

• Excellent problem resolution and analytical skills.

• Ability to learn quickly in fast-paced environment.

• Proficient with deploying and securing resources in Azure.

• Ability to create and maintain clear and concise documentation.

• CCNA preferred.

• Perforce experience.

• Exam AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator.

• Experience with orchestration and automation technologies such as Kubernetes or Terraform.
