Senior Character Animator
Seattle based gaming studio is searching for a Senior Character Animator.
The person hired will create human animations, creature animations, and will animate associated items.
This is a full-time direct-hire position. The person hired will be an employee of our client. No contracting involved.
Client is looking for an individual with a passion to create human and creature animations.
The hired candidate will develop animation prototypes with input from artist teams and leads.
Participate in an iterative process of problem solving and critiques to help bring the best AAA visual quality to this client’s video game products.
Complete all animation deliverables at a desired quality and on time.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in game development as a 3D animator with at least 1 shipped title.
Proven understanding of animating both humans and creatures, more realistic than stylized.
Strong knowledge of traditional animation principles.
Strong self-motivation, great communication, and collaborative team-player attitude.
Able to solve problems, produce animated characters, present prototypes and receive team feedback.
Experience in Unreal 4.
Experience animating player characters for both gameplay and cinematics.
Experience with Mocap is a plus.
Experience with full body physics and IK systems is a plus.
Experience with Rigging.
Client will want to review any online demo reel and portfolios.
Candidates must be willing to complete an animation test if requested to do so.
