Senior Concept Artist
We have a client in Redmond, Washington that is looking for a Senior Concept Artist. The ideal candidate will contribute to building the foundational concepts of various environments, props, characters, and creatures.
This is a full-time, direct-hire position, no contracting involved.
Develop art style and provide consistent quality across all areas of the project.
Create a wide range of original concepts - character, creatures, interior/exterior environments, props, armor, and weapons.
Minimum of five years hands-on experience in a game development or visual effects team as a Senior Concept Artist.
Solid understanding of both anatomical and mechanical elements and how they inform construction.
Excellent skills in realistic, fantasy, and cinematic composition, lighting, and color theory.
Ability to quickly create and iterate informative or inspirational imagery with a range of styles and formats, from loose thumbnails to high-quality key art.
Substantial portfolio of current and past work demonstrating expertise in visual development and rendering of hard surface and organic assets as well as entire scenes.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and a solid understanding of art and cinematography terms and vocabulary.
Strong team player mentality and positive attitude.
Knowledge of 3D DCC tools, Unreal Engine 4 or 5, and production management tools.
Experience working with outsourcing partners and freelancers across different locations and time zones.
Multiple shipped game titles on various platforms.
