We have a client in Redmond, Washington looking for a Prop Artist. The person hired will work closely with other artists, designers, and programmers to help craft compelling and visually striking assets for the next generation of the clients video game.
This is a full-time, direct-hire position. You will be an employee of our client company. There is no contracting involved in this job.
Create models, textures, and materials for both hard surface and soft surface/organic game assets varying from simple handheld items to large and complex architectural pieces.
Discuss, critique, and modify game assets with teams and leads through prototyping and reviews.
Balance visual quality and performance.
Minimum of three years of experience in game development with at least one shipped title as a Prop Artist.
Great understanding of current asset creation tools and techniques.
Substantial examples of current and past work demonstrating strong understanding of shape, perspective, and texture.
Capable of mastering new pipeline and tech tools with a passion for games and gaming.
Experience working in the Unreal Engine.
Ability to create organic sculpted assets in addition to hard surface assets.
