Character Rigger
We have a client in Seattle, Washington that is looking for a Character Rigger who can create high-impact work for their expanding franchise. This is a full-time, direct-hire job, no contracting involved.
Responsibilities:
• Solve technical art problems centered around characters and animation.
• Create Skeleton, Skin Weighting, and Animation Rigging for accurate human and creature deformation.
• Perform in-game quality and optimization checks on Skin Weights, LODs, IK, and Physics Assets.
• Create documentation and provide pipeline improvements
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in game development as a technical artist with at least 1 shipped title
• Experience with Rigging, Animation, or Motion Capture
• Capable of mastering new pipeline and tech tools
• Scripting with Python and Mel
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team that is scattered throughout the world
Pluses:
• Experience working in the Unreal Engine
• Strong knowledge of anatomy
• Tool Programming
• Houdini experience
• Shader Programming GLSL, HLSL, CG
